This book is exceptional. I have been drowning myself in PTSD research since my husbands disgnosis 2 years ago. I have honestly read 100’s of books and papers on the topic. Most were good or some even very good. But this book hits all the major points in one read. I can personally relate to many of the issues that the Seahorn’s experienced. Very helpful to see people living life with PTSD. Not just surviving. Gives me hope. I have ordered other copies for family and our pastor to perhaps help them understand in this excellent book.Product details

This is a very good story that will make you aware of what some people go through after been in war
If you or someone you love has experienced combat than this is a book you need to read. This book was suggested to me by a fellow veteran and it has been a blessing.
My dad was given this book by the VA. I ordered my-it came directly from the authors, signed in the inside.
This is a book worth reading even if you are not, have never been in the military. Reading this laid it all out there. It made my life make "sense". I try to look at people and their situations through humble eyes now. Their journey is their own. I am grateful to have this book and have a better understanding of what my dad is feeling and going through.
I bought this not knowing if the person I got it for would like it. I also wasn't sure if they would be able to relate to it, or if it would be helpful. It was. Thank you for writing this book and sharing!
As a Vietnam era Marine Corps combat vet with Post Traumatic Stress, I found this book to be of great value. The authors have lived through many of the same situations and problems related to war and have found ways to cope with and overcome these problems. Together with professional counseling at the nearest VA outpatient center, the information contained in this book can salvage lives, marriages and families.
Powerful story and very helpful in helping heal ptsd family wounds. I did not realize how my husband's ptsd affected our whole family through the years. Thanks to this book I have a better understanding of this condition and how it affected my whole family. Too bad my husband is no longer with us as this story would have made a difference in his life for sure. Thanks for writing this book.
The story has helped me understand my feelings better. I was able to relate to his feelings and experiences. I feel one who has experienced PTSD should acquire this book. PTSD is not limited only to military personnel, there is something here everyone. Even if you know someone with PTSD, this book might provide you with new insights in their condition. The book includes his experiences in combat. Though that might be your experience, there is still material that I found to be of great benefit to me.
